AMAZING Sugar-Free Chocolate Chip Cookies! [RECIPE]

How are you today? I hope you’re having a wonderful Friday. Yay! We made it to the weekend. Today I have a delicious recipe to share with you. Before I explain how and why these cookies are so amazing let me clarify one thing:
No. These cookies do NOT use artificial sweetener. They use honey!! 😀 How cool is that?!
Alright, now that we got that out of the way I’ll share how I stumbled upon this amazing cookie recipe. Last night Mr. Noob Chef was in a munchie mood. Lately I have been keeping our cupboards free of sugary snacks so there was little for him to munch on. “Want an apple?” I suggested and he shook his head. “Can I make you a cup of tea?” I asked again. But again… he shook his head and I could see the disappointment in his eyes. It was time to get creative.
I began searching for sugar-free cookies but 99% of the recipes I found used artificial sweeteners. And well… I’m not a big fan of those. Then I came upon this recipe by a woman called Dr. Laura. This dough called for basic ingredients (whole wheat flour, butter, eggs, salt, baking powder, etc.) but there was not one drop of sugar or sweetener. Instead she used honey! I had just purchased a big bottle of agave nectar from Costco so I got super excited and knew I wanted to test out this recipe. Would it be good? Would the cookies come out dry and crumbly? I had no idea.
The answer: It tasted exactly like a chocolate chip muffin… but in the shape of a cookie! 🙂 In short, they were light, moist, and absolutely delicious.
This cookie recipe is perfect for anyone looking to cut back on sugar, or if you have specific dietary needs. Make sure to use sugar-free chocolate chips when baking to keep everything completely sugar free. I really hope you love this cookie recipe as much as I do. Sugar-Free Chocolate Chip Cookies
Yields: 20 cookies
- 1 cup butter
- 3/4 cup honey
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 2 1/4 cups whole wheat flour
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees (F)/ 175 degrees (C)
- In a large bowl, cream the butter and honey together until nice and fluffy.
- Add the eggs and vanilla and mix again.
- Add the salt, baking powder, and flour. Mix again until the dough forms.
- Add the chocolate chips and mix until combined.
- Form into balls and drop onto a greased cookie sheet.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes. Remove and let cool. Enjoy!
