4 Step Chicken Wings and Wings Gaming (DOTA 2)

I needed a fast recipe to cook last night and I knew chicken wings were the way to go. Yet, I had never tried cooking them before. So I scoured all over the web and researched various recipes before I thought to myself, “Stop. You know how to roast a whole chicken with your eyes closed. You make your own marinades all the time. Just trust your instincts on this one”. And so I did and the result was delicious, moist, flavorful wings where the meat pulled right off the bone! I’d call that a success!

Now I want to share with you the simple 4 step method I used in making baked chicken wings. But before we jump into the recipe together let’s pause and take a look at Chinese DOTA 2 team, Wings Gaming:

Wings Gaming is a newer Dota 2 team of younger players namely Shadow, blink, Faith_bian, Innocence, and iceice. Their first big break came when they won the championship in ESL One Manila 2016 beating Team Liquid 3-0.

They are characterized by having solid game play and a no nonsense attitude towards matches. They come in and play their best with very minimal mistakes. They are known to be one of the most dangerous teams to face in a best of one situation, because they can take a win in the face of defeat.

Dropping down to the lower bracket through the stellar performance of DC, their chances are somewhat slimmer in getting through to the finals. It is a tough road but they are definitely capable of taking the long road to do it.

Last night the group matches were insane! Do you remember the biblical story “David and Goliath”? (I’m not super knowledgeable in the Bible so forgive me if I get a few details mixed up. I usually just rely on Veggietales for my info.). So team EG (Evil Geniuses) has long been that giant, fan-favorite team that has won many titles, matches, etc. They were matched up against Mineski. Mineski is a Filipino team that was voted last, least fan-favorite, etc. Do you see the David and Goliath situation here? Naturally everyone thought that EG would wipe the floor with Mineski, but did they? Nope! Little Mineski rolled up in there and gave EG quite the run for their money! EG took game 1. Mineski won game 2. And EG finally (but not easily) won game 3. I was literally tweeting live as it unfolded because I couldn’t contain myself. Bangon Mineski… Bangon. And don’t get me started on the team Liquid vs. Alliance games. Woo! That was even more intense!!

So as all of these live, e-sports matches were unfolding my family was hungry for dinner and I was prepared to deliver a mouthwatering meal. Cue these chicken wings. These wings can be made in 4 easy steps. If you feel the urge to make your own BBQ sauce, by all means go for it! Given the need for a fast dinner last night, I chose the pre-made route. Next time, I’ll be testing out my own BBQ sauce and I’ll be sure to share all the details with you! πŸ™‚ Enjoy this fun recipe everyone and have a very awesome day! ❀
